શુભરાત્રી 

ઓ નિન્દ્રાની દેવી !

આ શાંત ઓરડે તારૂં સ્વાગત હજો.

ગઈકાલની વિતેલી દુ:ખી પળો,

આજે હૃદયની શાંતી ન હણે તે જોજે.

આવતીકાલની કલ્પિત ચિંતાઓ,

સુખનું સ્વપ્ન ન વિખેરે તે જોજે.

સ્વની મૈત્રી એ જ કાયમી મૈત્રી છે,

સ્વથી વહેતો પ્રવાહ ન પલટે તે જોજે.

બહારની તથા અંદરની દુનિયાને ભૂલી,

  જ્યોતને મંદ કરી વંદુ હું તને.

પ્રકાશિત તારાઓની મીઠી નજર તળે,

હે દેવી! તુજ સંગ શુભરાત્રી હજો !
