My name is Rekha Sindhal. I have been residing in USA since 1989. I have Bachelor’s Degree in Microbiology and Education from India. I am a former science and math teacher in India. I have worked as a research assistant in pediatric cardiology for Vanderbilt University, Nashville. Currently I offer one on one tutorial for Math. I am heavily involved in community service for Indian organizations here in USA. My hobbies are reading, writing, teaching, and solving mathematical puzzles. I have been married for 45 years and am a proud mother of three daughters and a grandmother for four grandsons.
It is hard to say about myself. Where to begin? In introducing a fragment from one of the many pieces of existence. According to Oprah Winfrey (if you think about writing when you get up in the morning every day then you’re a writer), I’m a writer but not a professional writer. Sometimes I try to write poetry but I can’t claim to be a poet.
Certificates I earned are: Bachelor in Microbiology (1975), Bachelor in Education (1981) and Master in Literature (2011). I worked as a mathematics and science teacher and also worked as a research assistant at Vanderbilt Medical Center. Worked as a technician in the medical laboratory for many years. As well as the full time family responsibilities of the mother of three daughter and duty to serve my husband in the kitchen of an Indian wife… ..and amidst all these joys, I have always enjoyed reading and writing through the words of the world. I have been constantly striving to provide voluntary services in social organizations. Leadership is woven in nature but still has to find a way to lead the world in the direction of unconditional love for one and other.
Now that the flow of energy is coming down, the support of the pen and paper is needed and in this endeavor, the journey will be much more enjoyable if I can share my joy with many friends. It has been thirty years (in 2019) since I left the country. I am currently living in the state of Tennessee, USA. I was born in the town name Veraval near Somanath Temple in India on the first of March 1956 and I wish death in the United States as I have now made this land my home.
It would have been difficult to continue writing without the help of a long time great friend (and now well known writer) Nilam Doshi. In what form mother Saraswati gives her blessings and the music of life starts playing again is unbelievable incidence. Nilam and I met again 35 years later after we were departed from collage. I am delighted to start this blog with her help as a great gift and pray for blessings of mother Saraswati.🙏
